NCGA Zone Championship
Qualifier

Our club can sponsor one 4-person team for the NCGA Zone Championship. We are in the South Coast Zone. The NCGA format will be best two balls of four net.

Our NCGA Qualifier Tournament will be held Tuesday, April 28

If we have less than 10 teams we may cancel the event.

Championship Dates:     August 24, 25

Both the Qualifier and Championship competitions are two day events. Below is the link to the NCGA master schedule which will have the qualifying sites. Use the filters to help find the month for the qualifiers.



Morro Bay Golf Club Team Qualifier

Format Two-person net Best Ball
Tees Members play from their regular tee box (as defined under the club Tee Box Policy). Requests to play a different tee must be made to the Tournament Chair.
Winners
  • Morro Bay Golf Club can send one 4-person team to this NCGA competition
  • Our 4-person team will consist of the top 2 teams in our qualifier. If one of the teams cannot play, the spot will be filled by the alternates in order of finish.
Dates
  • Our qualifier will be held Tuesday, April 28 , with regular play.
  • Entry Deadline: Tuesday 12 Noon, April 21
  • Late entries accepted if space available
Handicaps
  • Current handicaps will be used
  • All players on our roster with valid indexes are eligible.
  • Men must play to a maximum index of 18.4
  • Women must play to a maximum index of 25.4
  • For the qualifier, playing handicap will be 85% of the course handicap.
Fees
  • Entry fee: $45 per person, $90 per team.
  • Entry fee does not include entry in game of the day.
  • The monies collected in the qualifier will be applied to the cost of playing in the NCGA tournament. The NCGA entry fees is $1000. There is no additional fee for teams that advance. The entry fee includes all greens fees.
Expenses
  • The qualifying teams will be responsible for their own travel costs. Any extra money received in the qualifier entry fees may be used to offset winning teams' travel costs
  • The entry fee paid by our club covers greens fees but not cart fees.
