NCGA Zone Championship

Entry Form

Our club can sponsor one 4-person team for the NCGA Zone Championship. We are in the South Coast Zone. The NCGA format will be best two balls of four net.

Our NCGA Qualifier Tournament will be held Tuesday, March 26 with a rain date of Tuesday, April 2

If we have less than 8 teams, we will cancel the event.

With a minimum of 16 players (8 2-person teams) we will sponsor a team but with no expense money. If we have more than 24 players (12 2-person teams) there will be expense money depending on the number of entries.

The Regional Championship will be a two-day competition played at:

       Del Monte GC        Poppy Hills

Championship Dates:     August 19,20 ( Mon-Tues )

The Zone Championship will be a two-day competition played at:

       Poppy Hills        Spyglass Golf Course

Morro Bay Golf Club Team Qualifier

Format Two-person Best Ball
Tees Members play from their regular tee box (as defined under the club Tee Box Policy). Requests to play a different tee must be made to the Tournament Chair.
  • Morro Bay Golf Club can send one 4-person team to this NCGA competition
  • The top team advances to the Regional Championship. The next places will be alternates in order of finish.
  • Our qualifier will be held Tuesday, March 26 , with regular play.
  • Rain date: Tuesday, April 2
  • Entry Deadline: Monday March 18
  • Late entries accepted if space available
  • Current handicaps will be used
  • All players on our roster with valid indexes are eligible.
  • Men must play to a maximum index of 18.4
  • Women must play to a maximum index of 25.4
  • For the qualifier, playing handicap will be 85% of the course handicap.
  • Entry fee: $40 per person, $80 per team.
  • Entry fee does not include entry in game of the day.
  • The monies collected in the qualifier will be applied to the cost of playing in the NCGA tournament. The NCGA entry fees are $800 per team for qualifiers. There is no additional fee for teams that advance. The entry fees includes all greens fees.
  • The qualifying teams will be responsible for their own travel costs. If 24 or more players enter there will be money available for travel expenses.
  • The entry fees paid by our club cover greens fees, but not cart fees.
