NCGA Zone Championship
Qualifier

 Entry Form

New This Year

  • Players may enter as a 4-person team or 2-person team. 2-person teams will pair up before the competition to qualify as a 4-person team.
  • The winning team may replace one player if unavailable for the Regional Championship. If two players are unavailable, then the second place team will advance.
  • With a minimum of 12 players (3 4-person teams) we will sponsor a team but with no expense money. If we have more than 24 players (6 4-person teams) there will be expense money depending on the number of entries.
  • Pairing of 2-person teams.
    Two-person teams may pair up by mutual agreement and notify the Tournament Chair.
    Any remaining 2-person teams will be randomly paired by the Tournament Chair one week before the qualifier.
    If there is an odd number of 2-person teams for the random pairing, the last 2-person team to sign up will be left out of the pairing and efforts will be made to recruit two additional players.

Our club can sponsor one 4-person team for the NCGA Zone Championship. We are in the South Coast Zone. The NCGA format will be best two balls of four net.

Our NCGA Qualifier Tournament will be held Tuesday, March 14

If we have less than 3 teams, we will cancel the event.

Morro Bay Golf Club Team Qualifier

Format
  • Best Two Balls of Four Net
  • Four-person teams must identify which players are paired on their entry form.
  • Teams of 4 players separated into pairs who will combine into foursomes with pairs from another team
Tees Members play from their regular tee box (as defined under the club Tee Box Policy).
Winners
  • Morro Bay Golf Club can send one 4-person team to this NCGA competition
  • The top team advances to the Regional Championship. The next places will be alternates in order of finish.
Dates
  • Our qualifier will be held Tuesday, March 14 , with regular play.
  • Entry Deadline: Monday March 6
  • Late entries accepted if space available
Tees Men will play from the white tees. Women from the gold tees.
Handicaps
  • Current handicaps will be used
  • All players on our roster with valid indexes are eligible.
  • Men must play to a maximum index of 18.4
  • Women must play to a maximum index of 25.4
  • For the qualifier, playing handicap will be 85% of the course handicap.
Fees
  • Entry fee: $40 per person,
  • Entry fee does not include entry in game of the day.
  • The monies collected in the qualifier will be applied to the cost of playing in the NCGA tournament. The NCGA entry fees are $800 per team for qualifiers. There is no additional fee for teams that advance. The entry fees includes all greens fees.
Expenses
  • The qualifying teams will be responsible for their own travel costs. If 24 or more players enter there will be money available for travel expenses.
  • The entry fees paid by our club cover greens fees, but not cart fees.
