The NCGA Net Amateur is open to all members with all handicap levels. All play will be with full handicap. This is an excellent opportunity for our members with higher handicaps!

Our club can sponsor up to 4 players for the NCGA 17th Annual Net Amateur Championship. Actual number will depend on the size of the field.

Our NCGA Qualifier Tournament will be held Tuesday, July 13

If we have less than 12 players, the event will be canceled. 12-20 players entered, and we will send 3 players. Over 20 players entered and we will send 4.

Sectional Qualifying:    September 23 ( Thur )

Sectional Sites: Winning players may choose from the following locations (players do not have to choose the same site):

112 players will advance to the Championship.

Championship Dates:     October 18-19 ( Mon-Tues )
Championship Site: Poppy Ridge, Livermore CA

Morro Bay Qualifier

Format
  • Individual Stroke Play
  • Men will play from white tees, women from red.
  • Players will recieve 100% of their handicap
  • Field will not be flighted
  • Tee times will be assigned by handicap
Winners
  • Winners will be low NET scores of the field. The next places will be alternates in order of finish.
  • Morro Bay Golf Club can send up to 4 layers to this NCGA competition
  • Number of players advancing will depend on the size of the field
Dates
  • Our qualifier will be held Tuesday, July 13 , with regular play.
  • Entry Deadline: Tuesday, July 6.
Handicaps
  • July 1 handicaps will be used
  • All golfers get full handicap
Fees
  • Entry fee: $20 per person
  • Entry fee does not include entry in game of the day.
  • The monies collected in the qualifier will be applied to the cost of playing in the NCGA tournament. The entry fees are $60/player for qualifiers, $130/player for championship. The entry fees include all greens fees.
Expenses
  • The qualifying players will be responsible for their own travel costs. Any extra money received in the qualifier entry fees will be used to offset winning players' travel costs
  • The entry fees paid by our club cover greens fees, but not cart fees.
Tee Times Tee times will be assigned. You will be notified by email or you can call Margaret at 556-0755.

NCGA Competition Details

ELIGIBILITY:
  • Players must be amateur golfers
  • NCGA regular member clubs only. Multi-members can only represent one club.
  • Players must have a valid handicap.
  • Players must be on our roster as of July 1 .
  • Players must be 18 years of age
FORMAT:
  • Net Stoke Play
  • Players will recieve 100% of their handicap
  • Women compete from the forward tees in all NCGA events and handicaps will be adjusted accordingly based on the difference in ratings of the men's and women's tees.
  • Qualifyihg rounds will not be flighted. The Championship round will have three flights.
